The Washington Art Institute’s Art of Living is a collaboration with artists and the public to offer art lessons to people in need, including those living in poverty, mental health and homelessness.

We are also an outreach program that provides art to people who have no art education or experience.

This week, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program, which was launched in 1991 by the National Endowment for the Arts.
